Type 2 Asbestos Surveys from Enviro Safe
All commercial properties require at least a Type 1 Asbestos Surveys or Type 2 Asbestos Survey to comply with the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations.
Alongside our Type 1 surveys, we also offer a comprehensive Type 2 Asbestos Survey. A Type 2 Asbestos Survey will visually identify all asbestos containing materials (ACM's) in the building, which requires the assessor to have full access to the property.
Once identified, the assessor will then take samples of all the ACM's to confirm whether of not they do actually contain asbestos. Unlike the Type 1 survey, which presumes that all ACM's do in fact contain asbestos; a Type 2 survey will provide you with a comprehensive list of all ACM's and whether or not they contain asbestos.
Benefits of a Type 2 Asbestos Survey
A Type 2 survey will provide you will complete and confirmed list of materials containing asbestos. This is useful for if any maintenance or upgrades being planned in the future as if no asbestos materials are found, you won't have the added costs of managing these materials. This differs from a Type 1 survey, which contains no testing; therefore all ACM's are presumed to contain asbestos regardless.
