DUTY TO MANAGE..... |
The current 'Control of
Asbestos at Work' Regulations (CAWR) have introduced
the duty to manage asbestos risk in commercial,
industrial or public properties.
The regulation requires those who own, occupy or
manage premises (i.e. any person by way of
contract or tenancy who has an obligation of any
extent in relation to the maintenance or repair of
such premises) to develop strategies in regulating
the risk of exposure to asbestos in the workplace.
